Ellis Faas Cosmetics Review

First Impression
My first impression came from the Ellis Faas online boutique, where I quickly fell in love with their design and vision! I found the EF website extremely easy to navigate, product descriptions detailed and catalog diverse. Upon placing my order, I admittedly had high expectations.. The Ellis Faas line did not disappoint!

Packaging
I’m a sucker for pretty compacts and tubes… so its no surprise that one of my favorite things about the Ellis Faas brand is their products presentation. The overall feel of the products are edgy, sophisticated and expensive. All of the ammo styled casings are durable and hold up to whatever torture you submit them to.

Mascara

Currently the Ellis boutique offers two colors for their signature Mascara: Black and Chocolate Brown. I’ve sampled every wand in the land and actually prefer the EF mascara over most! The product promises to both separate and lengthen lashes.. It absolutely delivers, while giving your lashes the most beautiful intense black coating! The Mascara was quick to dry and stayed free of flakes through long wear. I really loved the slender Mascara head, it was easy to coat the roots of my lashes, making them appear much longer and giving the illusion of eyeliner. If you explore nothing else, be sure to get your claws on Ellis’ Mascara in Black!

Milky & Creamy Lips
Upon receiving the products I became nervous about the lippies bleeding, but to my surprised they managed to not feather (even without a lip pencil!). Both Milky and Creamy Lips glide on smooth with even color distribution. I applied each gloss with the applicator provided (Creamy Lips has a sponge tip, while Milky Lips applies with a brush), but preferred spreading the color with my fingertips. Each item I worked with was easy to remove and had minimal to zero staining. All in all the lip products exceeded my expectations, the colors are brilliant and have great staying power.

Milky & Creamy Eyes
Milky and Creamy Eyes were among the most intimidating products I received. I’ve had few romps with liquid shadows in the past and always seemed to just not enjoy them. That said, I really loved Creamy Eyes in E105, the color is very feminine and transformed from liquid to matte quickly. I applied E105 with the provided brush and spread with my fingertips for a soft look. I’m so interested in trying more from the Creamy Eyes range, the products do not crease and wear flawless for hours. I love to experiment, so I used Ellis Faas Creamy Eyes as a base for other shadows and they intensified instantly.. its an all around fantastic eye product!

My least favorite was Milky Eyes E203, I am uncertain if I received a bad batch, but at times the pen dispenses clear liquid instead of pigment When the pigment does come out it applies splotchy. The product did not match up to the rest of the items so I assume this was a wonky batch (it looks GORGEOUS in the store images.. what a shame!).

Above: I used E105 as a base for a powder shadow I have in my
collection and got such beautiful, natural payoff!

Color Range & Payoff
The Ellis Faas lip collection offers twenty seven shades in three different finishes: Creamy, Milky and Glazed. I personally adore the color offerings, each shade is vibrant and glamorous. Something I prize is Ellis Faas’ versatility and how universal the line is, the palette is brilliant for all skin tones and ages. I was extremely pleased with the color payoff! Each finish creates a different vibrancy from very sheer and subtle to deeply pigmented. I enjoyed Creamy Lips the most.. the pigmentation is just gorgeous and looks rich. I did not have the opportunity to try the Glazed finish, but am drooling over L304, L306 and L308!! One very obvious flaw (that did not appeal to the cosmetic hoarder in me) is that the colors are actually split amongst the three categories : meaning when I fall in love with L302, I won’t be able to purchase it in each finish.

Price
Being that Ellis Faas products are luxury cosmetics, they absolutely carry a price tag to match! That said, considering the quality and performance of the entire line its undeniably a fair price. High end brands like EF tend to last longer (products are more pigmented with quality ingredients) and are far easier to work with when compared to drugstore cosmetics.

Other Thoughts
The products are clever and future forward. I found it very intriguing that there is no need to apply the makeup with traditional brushes, as each bullet case contains a ready to use applicator. If you choose to, you actually have the ability to successfully create a quick and flawless look with just your fingertips!!

I’ve reviewed quit a few cosmetic lines, but none so completely unique and fashion forward as Ellis Fass’ confections.. The entire collection looks stunning!

Please take a moment and discover Ellis Faas Cosmetics!

Dare to wear it: The most buzz worthy of the lot is absolutely the Ellis Faas Mascara in Black and Milky Lips in L202!.. Perfection.

Mwaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
